Android Market application on a tablet computer and the smartphone will be updated with the Google Play Store icon in the next few days. This update is specifically for the Android operating system version 2.2 and higher.

"As of today, Android Market, Google Music and Google eBookstore as a part of "Google Play". On your Android phone or tablet we will upgrade the Android Market to a Google Play Store application ," said Jamie Rosenberg, Google's Director of Digital Content such as cited by TechRadar.

"Google Play" design allows users to control and navigate the content. Google apparently hopes on rebranding its application store will increase the number of visitors as well as revenue. In addition, the application store presented to rival Apple's App Store.

"Although a phenomenal success and widespread adoption, the Android Market find it difficult to collect such revenue in the App Store," said Greg Sandoval of CNET tech sites.

Google is still indicated at least less happy with still a lack of purchasing power of applications in the Android Market. It was said recently by Eric Chu as the Android Platform Manager.

According to research firm Piper Jaffray estimates total revenue from the Apple App Store reaches USD 4.9 billion until the end of 2011. In the span of about the same time the Android Market 'only' reached about USD 341 million.

I think you definitely can not wait for the release of this game application for android now. Yes, this android game app called "Temple Run Android" is a game app most in demand by android users lately and is becoming a trend for the addicted gamers who use android phone.

Temple Run is basically has the Indiana Jones feel to it, where a man (You control) is running away from gorillas/monkeys, as you flee you have to collect coins as well as dodge, jump and slide obstacles. They also mention that if you see anything to do with Android apps claiming to be Temple Run is a SCAM. We decided to look into this a little further to see what scams and fakes are out there so you do not get fooled.

Trend Micro has found a scam application that I want to warn you about, the apparent Temple Run app once installed and then run will create a shortcut on an infected smartphone’s homepage. If your Android device has Facebook installed it will ask you to share the app that is fake before you can play it, it also prompts users to rate the app as well in the Android Market. Luckily enough this app has been removed from the Market, but there are a few other apps out there trying their hardest with the Temple Run or similar name.

Now I'm not sure where these developers are coming from, but take this Android app for example with the name “Temple Runner”, talk about close to home with its description saying Run from dangerous monkeys and stars and kill them with your guns.

There are other names such as “Temple Ran”, which is a totally different game, but anything with Temple Run/Runner/Ran in it rings more alarming bells.

At this time I present a little review about a Free App for Android from Symantec. This application is called "Norton Safety Minder" which only works on Android 2.2 and 2.3 devices for now. This app serves to control children's mobile Internet habits as well or function as a mobile parental control software for android phone. Norton Safety Minder is a free application for android released by Symantec which can be downloaded for free from Android Market. It's free to use after you sign up for a Norton Online Family account, a free parental control suite for desktops.

For parents who worry about their children’s Internet habits, they have to consider their mobile Internet habits as well.

Norton Safety Minder lets parents openly track and block websites their children access on an Android device, similar to McAfee Family Protection. It does so by attaching itself to the stock browser in their child's mobile device and blocking sites based on an age category or customized list. It doesn't monitor non-native Android browsers, like Opera and Dolphin, but if the Norton Safety Minder app does not send monitoring activity to Norton Online Family servers for 10 days, an alert will be logged for the parent to view.
